Knight Knocked Unconscious With Car Appliance

LATEST: Hip-hop mogul MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT was reportedly knocked unconscious by a man branding a tyre iron, during a confrontation at a Hollywood nightclub at the weekend (10May08).

The Death Row Records founder was enjoying a night out at Shag on Saturday (10May08) when he and his entourage got involved in a verbal altercation with an unnamed man, which resulted in Knight being knocked out cold for almost three minutes.

Reports initially suggested the fight had resulted from an argument about money, but sources now claim that while Knight did exchange words with a partygoer about cash, it was another man who was responsible for his beating.

According to Ballerstatus.net, Knight became angry when he realised someone was filming his heated conversation on a cell phone. Knight is then reported to have grabbed the onlooker and held him in a headlock as he tried to confiscate the mobile.

But the assailant broke free and ran out of the club, chased by members of Knight's crew. Shortly afterwards, the man pulled up in his car in front of Shag, before opening his trunk and retrieving what is alleged to have been a tyre iron - which he then used to strike Knight on the back of his head.

Knight was taken to hospital after the incident, but has refused to help police with their enquiries. He has since said he will handle the incident "internally".

Rigor Sardonicous are Joseph J. Fogarazzo (vocals/guitar) and Glenn Hampton (basso) -- iI Long Island natives attached to unearthing the darkest, deepest funereal doom sounds conceivable since coming together in 1988. The fact that they've only managed to book deuce albums (1999's Apocalypsis Damnare and 2004's Principia Sardonica) and one 2002 rent EP during the ensuing 18 days is further will to the sturdy stance of their self-described "raw apocalyptic sentence." This draws inspiration from numerous sources, including the ragged crust of Winter, the grinding rust of Disembowelment, and the terminal rumble of Khanate, and in the main requires the economic consumption of a drum machine since no human has nevertheless managed to cope for long with their impossibly faineant pace.

Glastonbury retains registration system

Music lovers hoping for a ticket to this year's Glastonbury Festival will have to register their interest next month, organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed.
As part of the battle against touts, anyone wanting a ticket to the world's biggest music and performing arts festival must register by the end of February.
Eavis said: "I want to keep up the momentum we gathered last year by stopping ticket touting altogether.
"Thank you for being so supportive of our registration process, which is, after all, quite tedious. I appreciate it so much."
The 2008 registration process is similar to last year's system, which involved supplying contact details and a standard passport photo.
Everyone, including children aged 13 and over, who wants to buy tickets will need to register first to be eligible to go through the sales procedure on 6 April.
Music lovers can either sign up online - via www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk - or by completing a registration form which is available from any branch of camping store chain Millets.
Glastonbury Festival 2008 takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England over the weekend of 27-29 June.

Liv Tyler - Liv Tylers Marriage In Trouble

LIV TYLER has left question marks hanging over her marriage to British rocker ROYSTON LANGDON, after posing at New York's Costume Institute Gala on Monday night (5May08) without a wedding ring.

The couple married in March 2003, and have a three-year-old son, Milo.

But sources claim the relationship has been on the rocks for some time; rumours seemingly confirmed when Tyler strolled the red carpet alone at the star-studded event, with a clearly naked ring finger - the same night Scarlett Johansson was showing off her brand new engagement ring.

When contacted by the New York Daily News, a representative for Tyler, 30, refused to comment on the speculation surrounding her marriage.

Simian member reveals new project

Former Simian and Black Ghosts member Simon Lord has revealed his new solo project, Lord Skywave.

Lord, the former bandmate of Klaxons and Arctic Monkeys producer James Ford, has named his new project after the analogue synthesiser his father invented in the 70s.

In fact, all of the synth sounds on Lord's self-titled album were created with the instrument, of which only ten were built.

Four songs on the album also contain recordings of Lord's grandmother, Madeleine Dring, which were taken from old '78s and reel-to-reels.

The album is released on June 9, and contains the following tracks:

'My Name Is Lord Skywave'
'Slow Movement (From Trio For Oboe, Piano And Flute)'
'Idyll (Just Like)'
'Back Into The Garden'
'Everybody'
'I Am A Dead Man'
'Dialogues (From Trio For Oboe, Bassoon And Piano)'
'Half Forgotten (Keep The Best Bits)'
'Something'
'Maybe I Need To'

Kate Moss - Moss Sparks Safety Fears Over Quad Bike Ride

British supermodel KATE MOSS has sparked outrage after she was photographed riding a quad bike with her five-year-old daughter without a crash helmet.

The catwalk queen has been accused of taking an unacceptable risk as she drove the vehicle with Lila Grace close to her home in the English countryside.

But the move has angered health and safety groups.

A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents says, "Thousands suffer injuries a year in quad bike accidents. It's usually through lack of training to lack of protective clothing.

"Quad bikes should only be used for the number of people that they are designed for otherwise they may be liable to tip over. The health and safety executive would recommends that people wear helmets."

In 2003, rock star Ozzy Osbourne was admitted to intensive care at a UK hospital after being injured in a quad bike accident.
